October Chapter Meeting (9-17-20)

Our speaker for the October 12 virtual meeting is Michael Hosack, Fisheries Biologist, PA Fish and Boat Commission, Lake Erie Research Unit. Michael is a whiz kid when it comes to the biology of Lake Erie Steelhead. His topic will be: “LECAL Steelhead Survey & Management of steelhead and brown trout fisheries(Q & A Session to follow)

One of Michael’s projects is to generate a report each year based on the logs of fishermens’ experience on the Tribs. He provides log books that fishermen document important details of each adventures chasing the wily steelhead and brown trout in the Tribs. Click here to find out more and to sign up to participate.

Folks, Around 7 pm this Thursday, join the fun as we attempt to tape Steve Culton’s presentation which will appear as a YouTube video on Monday, September 14th on the website and Facebook.

If you have the Zoom app installed on your phone or computer, it’s easy. Just follow this LINK and you should be connected. Please minimize background noise or hit the mute button. We may have 100 members on the conference and don’t need more than a few barking dogs.

Conservation Opportunity: Keystone 10 M trees Initiative (9-3-20)

Pennsylvania is sponsoring an effort to plant TEN MILLION TREES. Trees are critical to life as we know it. This project aims to preserve existing trees and plant new ones alongside streams, streets and other sensitive landscapes. Help, of course, is needed. Click Here to go there.
