MARCH CHAPTER MEETING – MONDAY, MARCH 9
Mark your calendars!
Tell your wives, daughters and girl friends.
SPEAKER: JODIE MINOR, CO-CHAIR OF PWWTU’S
WOMEN’S AND DIVERSITY COMMITTEE
“GET ‘EM HOOKED!” –
BUILDING A DIVERSE FUTURE FOR TROUT UNLIMITED”
Chris Wood (President and CEO of Trout Unlimited) said it best:
“TU’s ability to remain effective in the future will hinge, in large part, on our ability to bring more women, people of color, and younger members into TU.”
Learn about how PATU and PWWTU have worked together to encourage this diversity through both Women’s Programs and STREAM GIRLS. These unique programs empower everyone to participate in the sport we love while reminding us that “we all live downstream.”
Jodie Minor (far left in back row) grew up in Oregon where she learned to love the outdoors. A lifelong learner and educator, she learned to fish from her father as a child and fly-fish from her husband 25 years ago. In the last three years, she and Nora Cline have co-led the PWWTU Women and Diversity program and launched TU’s STREAM Girls initiative. She looks forward to many more years helping everyone discover the importance of conserving our waters for the next generation.
