DESCRIPTION:Keystone Fly Fishers located in Northwest Pennsylvania is offering Fly Casting Skills Development: A Guide to Learning and Improving Fly Casting Skills\n\nJune 10\, 2023 – Casting instruction and demonstration of each cast\nJune 17\, 2023 – Practice on the course\, instruction where needed\nJune 24\, 2023 – Casting Skills Challenge – (optional assessment)\n\nThe Casting Skills Development will be held at Oil Creek State Park at the Blood Farm\nDay Use Area from 10:00 AM – Noon. Ages 12-17 must be accompanied by an adult.\n\n  \nFoundation Level\nA great starting place for those picking up a fly rod for the first time\, or a beginner with\nsome fishing experience. We work towards an understanding of loop formation\, loop\ncontrol\, accuracy\, and changing casting direction. For this program we will have fly\nfishing outfits available to use.\n\n  \nBronze Level\nCasting Instruction will be by Master Certified Casting Instructor Gary Kell and\nadditional FFI Certified Instructor Bob Anderson.\n\nAll participants at the Bronze Level must have their own equipment.\n1. Pick up and Lay Down Cast – Dominant and Non-Dominant side – 35 ft.\n2. Horizontal Pick Up and Lay Down Cast – 35 ft.\n3. Shooting Line to 40 ft.\n4. Accuracy @ 25 & 35 ft.\n5. Roll Cast to 35 ft. – Dominate Side\n6.
