Allegheny County Conservation District
- This group is the agency that reviews and issues permits to all conservation projects in Allegheny County. Hence, it is a good source of information about conservation activities in the county
- This group has education, research and action missions. They have a complete set if Watershed Plans and have recently focused on eliminating barriers such as dams and culverts between waterways.
Various watershed organizations.
- These organizations cover a great deal of Allegheny County and surrounding area. Each will welcome new members and hence provide an opportunity for PWW members to satisfy their need for “conservation points”.
