Description: Learn how to tie flies for fishing
• Learn how to tie one or more fly patterns each night. Attendees will then tie the fly
illustrated. In general, the emphasis will be on tying flies used to target trout.
• Each evening a topic or technique will be discussed to provide more in-depth detail
into fly tying (i.e. vises, common tools, hooks, threads, dubbing, hackle, chenille,
weighting flies, ribbing materials).
• Possible Patterns Tied: Green Weenie, Eggstasy egg, Green Caddis Larva,
Squirmy Wormy, Hare’s Ear Nymph, Pheasant Tail Nymph, Frenchie, Soft Hackle
Hare’s Ear and many more possibilities
Location: House at 93 Joe Cain Road, Bulger, PA 15019
• At top of hill of driveway turn left (house on right is private residence)
• Enter door located to right of garage doors of house
Who: Open to the Public
• No experience is necessary
• No cost – all tools and materials will be provided
• Vises and tools are available to first 6 thru the door (please bring your vise, if you
have one, in the event we run out)
When: 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Thursdays on the dates listed below
• February 1, 8, 22, 29, and March 7 (No Tying Feb. 15)
