Leave ’em be (7-15-2020)

Torrid temperatures and lack of rain in Western PA have combined to deliver a “perfect storm” of bad conditions to the fish in our streams and lakes, especially the trout. Trout like it cold, in part because there’s more oxygen in the water. Trout tolerate water temps in the 70’s but are living on the […]

Expand your Horizons

Think outside the box of PWWTU. There are 400 plus Chapters of Trout Unlimited in the country.  We have a ton of members (over 1,000) but few cold-water streams supporting trout. Why not wind up the computer (or pick up the phone) and contact a TU chapter from the surrounding area to see what they’re up to and how you might be able to help. Click Here .SW PA TU Chapters for a spreadsheet of likely SW and NW PA Chapters, their websites, and a contact. What’s to lose?  You might even get introduced to a stream full of brookies that you didn’t know about.

Women and Diversity

Calling all Ladies!!!

We have a group just for you!!!

“Women’s Outreach” for PWWTU. This new group was created so that we, as a local organization, can better listen to and serve the needs of female anglers.

Our aim is to partner with female anglers who: want to fish together, learn more about the sport, support each other’s fishing growth and have fun! As women – we have the ability to become some of the best anglers – and our chapter wants to support that growth!

If this group interests you or you have any questions – please contact Jodie Minor or Nora Cline at [email protected]
